Explore natural bee products in Crete, from local honey and propolis to bee pollen, royal jelly and bee-based skincare. Products are offered for food, cosmetic or general wellbeing use, depending on the item. We do not claim that they cure or treat disease.
Cretan honey
Honey reflects the plants, season and landscape visited by the bees. Cretan varieties may offer distinctive aromas and flavours shaped by local herbs and flowers. Enjoy honey as a traditional food and part of a balanced diet. It remains a source of sugar, and it must not be given to babies under 12 months.
Propolis
Bees make propolis from plant resins and use it around the hive. It can be found in extracts, sprays, balms and skincare. Ingredients and concentration vary, so read the label carefully. Propolis can cause irritation or contact allergy in some people.
Bee pollen
Bee pollen is flower pollen collected by bees and sold as granules or as an ingredient in other products. Some people add it to a daily wellbeing routine. People with pollen allergy, asthma or a history of severe allergic reactions should seek appropriate advice before use.
Royal jelly
Royal jelly is produced by worker bees to feed larvae and the queen. It may be sold fresh, freeze-dried or in blended products. Allergic reactions can occur, especially in people with asthma or allergies. Follow storage, use-by and serving information supplied with the product.
Bee-based skincare
Bee-based skincare may contain beeswax, honey, propolis or royal jelly. These ingredients can add texture and form part of a simple skincare routine. Check the full ingredient list and follow patch-test guidance where provided. Stop using a product if irritation develops.
Bee venom skincare, if available
Availability must be confirmed. Any cosmetic containing bee venom needs clear ingredient, use and allergy information. It should not be used as a substitute for medical care or described as treating a health condition. Tell us about known bee venom allergy before making an enquiry.
